The Stunning actress, Deepika Padukone shimmers under flood lights of Marina Bay
The beautiful and festive island of Singapore marked the sixteenth and the only night race of Formula One calendar last Sunday. The dainty cars of Formula One glistened and glared as they ramped under the flood lights of the Marina
Bay Track. The eventful night offered much more than one could possibly handle.
The super racers of Formula One served a great racing spectacle, making it one of the most nail biting and nerve tickling rounds of the season. The race was followed by the music gala which embraced the most celebrated music sensations
who put the illuminated arena on fire.
Amongst all the other surprises of the night, one star that sparkled brightly was the Indian actress Deepika Padukone. She further brightened the track as she moved around to cheer Force India, the only Indian team in Formula One
squad. The elegant star, with a deep dimple in her cheek, is one of the latest luminaries of Indian cinema. She had her debut Bollywood film in 2006, and quickly made her place in the hearts of all film lovers by her striking looks and great performance.
Last week’s appearance on the track marked her second presence in a Formula One race this season. She was also seen glittering at the British Grand Prix earlier this year, on special invitation from the Force India team boss, Dr.
Vijay Mallya.
Mallya is one of the biggest business tycoons of India and is counted amongst the richest men of the region. He deals with a large variety of businesses but his major recognitions are Kingfisher Airlines and the United Breweries
Group. He is the first Indian man to have owned a Formula One team.
Last week, Mallya showed immense pleasure and joy as he saw Deepika on the race day despite the tough schedule that she has nowadays. She took a break from her movies’ shooting to come over to Singapore in support of her favourite
team.
The delicate Indian heroine looked stylish and appealing as she moved under the flashing lights of Marina Bay in her Force India T-shirt and denim shorts. The drivers and the team members of Force India were also allured by her
presence as she greeted them with her enchanting smile.
The 24 year old star, after enjoying the race thoroughly, talked to the Indian press saying, “It was an absolute thrill seeing the Singapore Grand Prix. Being a night race, it was a completely different experience from the one
I had at the British Grand Prix, which I had attended. Special thanks to Dr. Mallya for inviting me for the race.”
The 5.9’’ tall model turned actress while talking to the press added that she has had one of the most exciting breaks of the year. She told that Singapore is one of her favourite destinations for a vacation and this time she has
enjoyed the much needed rest and relaxation from her hectic routine. Deepika now returns back for the final shoots of her next movie called, “Break Ke Baad”.
The race was not a great one for Force India, as one of its drivers Adrian Sutil, after much struggle ended at ninth place only, while the other driver Vitantonio Liuzzi, had to walk out of the race right at the first lap after
having his car damaged.
Still, Mallya seems happy for her arrival, as he has achieved his goal. He wants to attract more and more people from India towards Formula One, as it is going to have its debut race on Indian soil, next year, and Deepika’s appealing
looks have surely helped him.
