yer it is a good idea. the team doesn't have to be full of irishman and if it was that is fine if they were a competitive outfit.

I like the marketing angle.  I just don't think it will work in Sydney.

Tasmania should have an AFL team first.

Great idea, but it should be the south sydney celtics cos of the sydney swans, unless the swannys move to south sydney and then you can call them the sydney celtics, good idea mate, keep it up, i like it cos they aree making a brissy team so the bris can have a showdown so the celtics should play the swannies in the showdown

Nup, don't like the idea one bit. The game should remain Australian. I don't mind Irish player playing for other clubs, but a whole Irish team would be bad for the competition.

This idea is just ridiculous guys. Seriously can u imagine an all Irish team. If international rules is to go buy it will just be a boxing match

Should be a New Zealand team and PNG first (stand alone or as a feeder to Darwin).

I think the next stage will be Gold Coast, Western Sydney, New Zealand Demons and Tasmanian Tigers
