The Texas Police are looking for me, I didn't do what they are looking for me for, what should I do?

My friend and I were walking around a random street at like 4AM because we were bored and wanted to drive around, so we stopped to have a cig. While walking, some random dude drove by, stopped by our car, reversed back and started integrating us. We lied, of course. (Random guy driving at 4AM started talking to me... not someone i want to tell all about myself) He got my plates, called the police, and now they are looking for us because he thinks we egged his house.

We didn't do anything... I don't want the police to have to find me, I want to go talk to them about it to get it over with. What should I do?

the texas police are NOT looking for you.  How do you "know they are?" This guy said he called the cops but do you know that for sure? As for the egging incident: Deny,Deny,Deny!  This is not the sort of thing that cops have time to waste their time on. If it was a real case like a break in, robbery.. they would be looking for "evidence"!!!!! Egging is the same as papering someones trees. It's a nuicense and the cops have to let the people who called it in think they are "working it"..the fact is, the cops have bigger fish to fry. You have obviously not been in a whole lot of trouble. This is a good example to you to NOT do stupid stuff.  Just stop worrying. Stop losing sleep at night. If the cops happen to stop you and question you tell them that you heard something about this but didn't believe it was real because this guy has been known to try to do this sort of things to kids in town. When they see that you have a clean record and good background they will just let you go. Just remember... without "evidence" there is NO CASE! You are OK.  And, you are an OK kid too!  I have a son that just turned 18..... I hate what you kids have to deal with sometimes.

You need to go talk to them... otherwise they will issue a warrant for your arrest....if you didn't do it and you are innocent then you have nothing to worry about... at most if you are under age they'll get you for curfew violation

Oh that guy is up for a beating he's the

criminal.Believe me why would a guy

out of no where just start calling the police because he thinks you egged his house.He thinks but he doesn't know.

The best thing to do is tell the police what happened.

Talk to the police and tell them you are innocent. You will not get in trouble for something you did not do.

Secondly How do you KNOW they are looking for you and how do you KNow this guy actually called the police??

If this guy reported your tag number they would have gotten the address and been there by now

If you really did nothing SORRY I do not believe that you are too worried for someone who did nothing

but if you did not I would not give it another thought First off if you did nothing you have no reason to believe anyone would be looking for you so why go looking to even put yourself in the mix??

Now if in fact you did it as i think you did and they did get the tags well than a knock on the door is coming so prepare tell parents if you still live at home and learn to respect folks things and well NO one who is out at 4AM walking Is up to any good come on be real Only a idiot would believe that So I Hope to heck you do better when they come knocking cause that sounded like pure bull to me

is texas the name of your city? because i don't think state police will go into something as trivial as egging a house.

just wait until they find you, unless you know for sure that they are looking for you, and then tell them the story. they'll probably ask for your friend too. just tell them the whole story, and you'll be fine. you probably won't go to jail or anything.

The police are not interested in whether you are guilty. You are only a suspect, in a minor issue, a misdemeanor.  You have not been charged, or even accused, of anything.

The police would have a lot more evidence that just the suspicion of the man who owns the house before any charges got laid.

You are right about going to the police yourself and getting it over with.

Well, egging a house is only considered criminal mischief...or less wherever your from..but i would hire an attourney and let him do the talking with the police..or just call the local station and tell them WTF is goin on or go to the station

Go to the police and turn yourselves in. If you didn't do it, you got nothing to worry about.
