The Top 10 Strikers in La Liga - Part 1
Making a list of the best ten strikers in the La Liga is a difficult task and the major reason behind this is that the La Liga is concentrated with such a large talent pool that it is a strenuous task to single out players.
A majority of the world’s best strikers, wingers and midfielders play in the Spanish league which makes it one of the most watched and competitive leagues in the world.
Iniesta, Kaka, Messi and Ronaldo are just the names on the top of this league that have come to international stardom because of their superior skills in the game of football..
This list will be a controversial one as Messi has scored four goals in four matches where as Ronaldo has scored fifty four shots in six games so all of this makes it a very difficult task.
Still Ronaldo and Messi are predominantly wingers while Kaka and Inesta are attacking midfielders and this list is only for Strikers.
So here is the list of top strikers:
Nilmar
On number ten is the Brazilian attacker who has been a literal revelation to the La Liga, when he joined Villarreal and has formed an interesting partnership with Guiseppe Rossi.
These two have a really good understanding and have scored seven goals in the first five games of the season.
It almost seemed that Nimlar’s European venture was almost over when he had a rather disappointing run with the French Lyon. Nilmar only lasted one season there and scored two goals in a total of thirty two games.
He moved back to Brazil and in spite of his impressive record in Brazil with Internacional, a lot of football pundits said that it was a gamble to bring him to Spain for a sum of ten million Euros. Though right now the investment seems have paid off well
as the player has started to showcase his true talents.
This twenty six year old has technical qualities which includes tricks and flicks in the locker. Also he is a really talented finisher and has a lot of pace and now is presenting all these abilities on the field on a weekly basis in the La Liga.
Alvaro Negredo
The next on the list is Alvaro Negredo and he started his professional football career with Rayo Vallecano.
Negredo did not make quite an impression there and then transferred to Almeria with a buy back clause intact.
Alvaro Negredo gleamed with his talents there and scored thirty two goals in seventy games in a period of two games all of this made Real Madrid buy him for five million Euros.
But what came unlucky for Negredo was that Real Madrid only saw the player as a financial investment and then sold him off to Sevilla that same season for fifteen million Euros.
What Real Madrid thought to be a smart financial move, became Sevilla’s advantage.
This striker was so highly rated in Sevilla that for his time there it became a regular habit to see Negredo and another always upfront with the opposing team’s goal posts.
It came to a point that Luis Fabiano and Fredi Kanoute had to battle with him for the front attacking spot and the player’s power, pace and exemplary air skills did not make it easy for them.
Alvaro Negredo always score more than a two figure number in the three La Ligas that he has played in and does go into the Spanish national team squad every now and then.
At twenty five years of age it is believed that the best of this player is still to come and all of this makes him one of the best strikers in the La Liga.
