The Top Ten Dutch Footballers In the Premiership – Part 2
Article Continued from Part 1.
Robin van Persie has made a hundred and ninety nine appearances for the Gunners, that makes an average of just twenty seven matches per season, and that is not even counting the 2010 campaign, as he has already been injured and is off the field.
All things aside Robin Van Persie is know all over the world for his authoritative strikes, which can range from the final third to the goal post.
No matter what football pundits say, he has always had a concrete spot in the Arsenal first team to play.
Robin van Persie is still able, healthy and in good shape. The player seems to always maintain his form and his career can always shoot skywards and put him on the list of the most influential Dutch players in the English Premier League.
Dirk Kuyt
The thirty year old Dirk Kuyt has proved to be a jack of all trades, throughout his career he has excelled in almost every role that he can improve in and has raised the standards for others when it comes to netting the ball.
He joined Liverpool in 2006, leaving his former club Feyenoord and since then, he has made two hundred and four appearances and scored fifty two goals. He has been a very consistent player and has practically become a permanent member of the first team for
‘The Reds’ as he plays in almost every match.
Kuyt is famous as a chance creator, a very hard working forward and for being a goal scorer. Kuyt is in a position to finish a very memorable career with Liverpool, as one of their greatest players and can become the image that others inspire to when coming
to Anfield.
Another interesting factor about our Dutchman is that he has the chance of going down in the club’s history as the player with the most mispronounced and intriguing last names ever.
Arjen Robben
Arjen Robben has a reputation of being a very agile and speedy player; he has only played three seasons for Chelsea and has scored nineteen goals from a hundred and two appearances for the club. He has showcased his own talents all over Europe in both the
national and the club fixtures.
Robben is known by most for his outlandish goal ranges, as the player has the ability to score from a far and from really up close. He has made a reputation because of these goals and always remains a major threat on the field.
Robben is a dazzling and fascinating winger, just twenty six years old and many years ahead of his time, with his professional career sparkling. If he keeps performing on the level that he did in his first season with Bayern Munich, then there is a lot to
be expected from him in the 2010 season.
Jaap Stam
Jaap Stam is still considered to be one of the most dominating centres back to have ever played in the Premier League and the fact that he was Dutch qualifies him for this list.
He played three seasons with Manchester United and went through to see the Red Devils hoist an FA Cup trophy, an Intercontinental Cup, three Premiership titles and a UEFA Champions League Title.
A lot of people still argue that if Stam had not been transferred to Lazio back in 2001, the team’s fate would have been different.
