Benny Feilhaber: Benny Feilhaber was a competitor in the Maccabi Games and is a new comer to the U.S National team.
This twenty five year old midfielder came on as a substitute thrice in the World Cup and has a total of thirty appearances for the American national team. He currently plays for AGF Aarhus which is is a Danish club in its first division.
Feilhaber is originally from Brazil but migrated to the United States at the age of six. His grandfather had to run from Austria to Brazil due to the n**i oppression in 1938. The player’s close relationship with his grandfather affirmed his beliefs in Judaism.
He once commented on this matter by saying that his grandfather was only fourteen years old when they had to leave all their possessions behind in Austria and run for their lives. They boarded a ship for Brazil and left everything behind.
He continued on the matter by saying that his grandfather still lives in Brazil and his stories affect his life and how he sees the world. He once said that Bornstein and him had a bond from the start because of their similar religious background.
He said that he and Bornstein recognized and discussed Jewish holidays though both of them spent the holidays with their families. In the end he said that he knows his history as a people and embraces being Jewish and is proud of it.
Sebastian Rozental: Sebastian Rozental was a fairly high prized youngster. He played his early football in Chile and then was signed with the Rangers in Scotland in 1997 at the age of twenty.
But sadly an injury ruined his Ibrox career and then he returned to America to play for the Columbus Crew in the MLS in 2006. He then finished his career overseas while playing his trade in Israel.
Rozental once made the player of the year title in Chile and has made twenty seven appearances for Chile.
Nir Klinger: There are numerous Israelis who come onto the field of football, including one former player who currently manages Holy Land and that is Nir Klinger.
He is the man at the head at Maccabi Tel Aviv. Klinger even won the Israeli Championships and two Israeli state cups and went on to the group stages of the UEFA Champions league in 2004-05
Right now Klinger coaches Hapoel Be’er Sheva that plays in the Israeli Premier League. He also managed the AEL limassol in Cyprus last year. Klinger defines himself as a faithful Jewish individual.
As a player Nir Klinger made eighty three appearances for his country and his club career was sliced between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Haifa.
Avi Nimni: Avi Nimni is considered to be one of Maccabi Tel Aviv’s legends and the midfielder spent most of his career there and captained the Israeli national team for a short while.
He also played for some time in England and Spain and retired in 2008 to go into club management and is the general manager of Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Idan Tal: Idan Tal is another Israeli national team celebrity and made sixty nine appearances in a time span of nine years and he exceptionally excelled at his club.
He spent time in the English Premier League playing for Bolton and Everton and then in Spain playing for Rayo Vallecano. The player has spent most of this life in his own home country and has won four Israeli League Championships, one Israeli Player of the
year awards and three Israeli Cup titles.
He is thirty five years old and still plays for Beitar Jerusalem.
