The Top seeded cruised comfortably on the second day at Wimbledon

Unlike Monday upsets at Wimbledon, the second day of the Tournament pretty much eased off things back to normal. The World Number 1 Serena Williams tossed another victory at the grass court on Tuesday. Andy Murray as well tackled acclivity pressure and as a result came up to the expectations of the home spectators. Rafael Nadal on the other hand, kept on with her terrifying form at Wimbledon as well.

All those matches conclude the round-1 at Wimbledon.

Rafael Nadal while commenting on the ongoing Wimbledon Tournament said that it is always a great feeling to be here and contest in front of a huge crowd and eventually coming out with positive results.

Williams started off this season in exactly the similar manner she concluded the previous Wimbledon Tournament with her categorical style. The very first set of the American tennis ace was conspicuous, callous as well as asymmetrical in spite of the fact that it did not last for more than a time period of 20 minutes and 60 seconds. Keeping up well with her triumphing tradition in the first round of Wimbledon, Williams seems quite confident in her first match and is looking forward to fetch another Grand Slam title for sure.

Williams won the match by defeating Michelle Larcher de Brito in a 6-0, 6-4 set. However, after the match, Williams looked more interested in talking about her dress as well as her civility manner than her game.

However, the finest comment that she made was her description of her departure in the quarter final match of the French Open. The American at one stage of that match missed 17 points right away while playing against Stosur where as Williams at another point was unable to utilize the match points during the same encounter.

While talking to the serve, Williams admitted that they need to perform even better.

However, what is even more thoughtful is the fact that the tennis ace from Britain kept on striving hard until their only potential Andy Murray strolled on to the Wimbledon grass court during the early evening. The start of this season of Wimbledon is surely not the best one for the endemics as the Britain for the very first time in the history did not manage to even hurl a single player in the single’s draw at Wimbledon.

According to Murray, it is not a very healthy sign as far as the British tennis is concerned. I want more and more British players to contest and win, he added.

Some of the British players who did manage to contest came out with disappointing results so far in the Tournament. Four of the women from the British side knocked out on Monday in the singles match where as Anne Keothavong fell also on Tuesday to the Australian Anastasia Rodionova.

As far as the form of Nadal in this Tournament is concerned, the danger man has definitely come out to be the greatest menace at Wimbledon from the men’s side. The big man topped Kei Nishikori in a 6-4, 6-4 match set on Tuesday in an impressive manner.

When asked about Nadal’s statement of being the top player in the world back to 2008, he replied that he did not pang on it even once in these two years as he has to utilize his time in practising and playing good tennis than thinking about other stuff.

The blow of the French Open Tournament lasted even on Tuesday when Stosur left the grass court in just the first round of the tournament.

As far as the rest of the round- 1 is concerned, the form has definitely restored in the shape of Murray, Nadal as well as the Williams. French Open all the way!
