After i read all of the books i was still sooo confused.

-Who really burnt down there house.

-What really happened to their parents. Didnt they say one was still living.

- What does the VFD (Volunteer Fire Department) have anything to do with anything.

-Also Why does the author Lemony Snicket A.K.A (Daniel Handler) have this enormous background story with Beatrice that somehow never gets explained in the end???

  1. Dear Reader,

As a fellow reader, I advise you to quickly return those books to your local library and find something more appealing, such as the "Littlest Elf."  However, to extinguish your desire for knowledge for the Snicket Files, led by your somewhat impressive, yet dangerous bravery.

    1. A cow (perhaps one of O.'s henchmen or maybe even O himself.)

    2. They died in a fire.  None of them is alive.

    3. Many members of the VFD were involved in the schism, which unfortunately led to the Baudelaire fire.

    4. I cannot answer this question.  The answer brings back too many unpleasant memories that a coward like me cannot face without crying for days.  All I can tell you is that there are two Beatrice.

I hope now that your interest in the Baudelaires and the Snickets have gone and have been replaced by smoke.

    With all due respect,

    Monty Kensicle.

  2. id remeber, i read it wen I was 10 i think. but olaf dies and kit dos 2 and then they just have a fortunate event in the end.

  3. The books are basically nothing but Snicket ranting on and leading you no where fast. The books are a gigantic waste of time, and probably one of the most terrible pieces of literature ever written that has gone insanely popular.

The books have very little plot, are very repetitive, and slow. It's hardly an adventure. More like deja vu in every book, with whiny prepubescent children.

  4. -It was Count Olaf

-They died in the fire. Their existence was a rumor.

-Their parent were involved in VFD and never told their kids about it and now they are mixed upfindingding out about the secret community.

-Beatrice is someone he liked and it wasn't part of the story he just used her in some parts that's all.

    Hope this helpes!

  5. In the Beatrice letters we learn that Beatrice is the Beatrice Baudelaire, the children's mother.

The reason he wrote the books was because he was hired by Beatrice Snicket (Kit's daughter) to find the missing kids. She is now about 13 and she is searching for them. That is the only thing explained at the end of the series, by the Beatrice Letters
