The Tube Strike?

Does anyone have any sympathy for the tube workers, and are you aware that the drivers earn in excess of 35k per year. Get in the real world and be grateful for what you have already. It just blackmail and the only people that suffer are the real hard working commuters.

  1. I don't have any statistics on salaries but if you are correct then it seems a reasonable one, but they aren't striking just for more money, but working practises, shifts etc, i wouldn't do the job in  a month of Sundays.   I do feel sorry for the people who have to use the tube to get to and from work, I don't, but have in the past and realise what a total pain it is when they are not working.

  2. I do sympathise with them, its got to be one of the most boring jobs in the world and its unbelievably unsociable hours but I do think that striking is just going to p1ss people off..  Those of us that live and work in London now have 3 days of h**l in front of us, by the end of which I will have no sympathy left.  Blooming people.

  3. Not only do they get 35k a year but they get around 8 weeks holiday a year, a 35 hour week and loads of overtime. I have no sympathy for them at all.  It's all down to that semi - literate idiot Bob Crowe at the union!

  4. This is just the start, get ready for a winter of discontent.
