The U.S. supposed 'Dream Team'?

Funny to hear TV commentators go on about this supposed Dream Team etc.

As pro basketballers I see their actual game as pretty lame.

Their 'star power' as they like to push it is their ability to do 'show stopping' dunks but any good team knows that the ability to score 3 pointers has to out way this attention grabbing posing.

As 3 point shooters this Dream Team is sadly lacking.

God I hope they get done like a dogs dinner in the Olympic Final.

It would serve them well and truly right for being overpaid, over publicised posers.

for starters, the 'dream team' was the 1992 team. this years team is being touted as the 'redeem team' because they are on a mission to redeem themselves for not winning in athens or in last years world championships. and they are doing a fine job of it, blowing everyone out the way they are supposed to. just pray whatever loser country you're from doesn't get in their way, so they won't have to steamroll over them on their way to gold

the 3 point line is shorter in international basketball

therefore THE dream team will be shooting mid range jumpers for 3.

you completely forgot team usa has players superior speed, strength, skill, athleticism, and so on. the fact you saying kobe bryant, lebron james, dwight howard and chris paul (4 of the top 5 in the nba's mvp voting) having "lame" game shows you have know clue how good these players are.

you fail to mention their average winning margin in these olympics so far, or the teams they have managed to trample on the way to what will be gold.

the only argument you could have made (before the olypics started) is they will never come together as a team but so far they proved that they can do that also.

maybe australia needs more show stoppers and stars who play spectator friendly ball. andrew bogut??? really?

I won't talk badly about their Basketball team though. They are quite good, but isn't it against Australian national law for a man to win a gold medal?

Post Game edit: If the Dream team is "sadly  lacking", the boomers must just flat out suck. This game ended like everyone knew it would.
