Question:

The UFC Fights Were Dissapointing.

Huerta looked sick. Stumbled around. And Florian still coudnt knock him out or submit him. Dissapointing.

Lesnar has no clue as to what he is doing. Got a full mount almost 4 times...never got a punch in and being 265 pounds lost the mount 2 secs later. Heath Herring was weak. So Lesnar has him pinned...and doesnt know what to do from there. 1 big punch wont impress me.

GSP looked like he was sick or on drugs. He had the fight so easy and let John Fitch actually put up a fight...I have seen GSP wayyy better than that.

Anyone else agree? If you dont...I dont care.

  1. Lesnar still has a lot to prove, a lot to learn. It's only his third fight, but he's well on his way. As far as his *********, that's the pro wrestler in him. I don't like Lesnar. That being said, he does have the talent to go all the way. His college wrestling backround is going to go along way as far as helping him be successful as a heavyweight. He just needs to learn how to take the back and sub; I can't see anyone overpowering him, and putting him on his back. As far as GSP, Fitch is no pushover, and it's no surprise that the fight went into the later rounds. As far as Maia, i'm certainly glad he beat Macdonald. But there is no way that he should have gotten swept and reversed as much as he did. Huerta is a tough out as well. Every fight can't end in a highlight reel finish. Huerta is sloppy, Florian fought a smart fight, and won, just like he was supposed to. Kongo is developing a great MMA game. He's primarily a kickboxer, but he's actually learning to get decent takedowns. He's still learning. There's no need to mention him and title in the same sentence yet. Let's look at the positives. We're being to hard on some of these guys, expecting too much too soon.

  2. ok, so here is what i think. i saw the card also, and was a little disappointed.

LESNAR: i think that brock didn't finish heath at first because he was afraid that he would get caught like in his fight against mir. I think he was taking it slow at first. i think at some point though, he didn't like heath (the push at the end of round one) and decided to not finish the fight, but instead put heath through the biggest beating of his life. not real glamorous, but did what he wanted.

GSP: this may sound too conspiracy theory, but i think that he was told to take it to 5 rounds. there were so many times that GSP could obviously finish, but he didn't. and the ending of the fight came right at 10.....the scheduled time. just my thoughts......

  3. I do not agree.  While it was not near the card as UFC 84, it was still a good card.  Emerson had an explosive KO over Manny.  Lesnar battered Herring for three rounds.  Kongo actually looked impressive in his destruction of Dan Evenson.  I'm now a fan of Damien Maia as he pushed his record to 9-0, choking out Jason MacDonald.  GSP didn't look very energetic, but played with Fitch.  Many people had Fitch beating GSP.

JKD practitioner Ben Saunders got an arm bar victory as well.

  4. The Lesnar fight gets me going the most. Sure hes strong and he still has potential but you need to know more than wrestling in mma. He for the most part dominated him after the first punch by just smothering him. Any fighter would die to be in a full mount and he had it more than once and appeared not to know what to do. He also had his back numerous times and did nothing with it. I truly hope he works to be a more well rounded fighter because it was frustrating to watch him. Especially after he got SOOOOOOO cocky after the match was over. He has no business getting cocky like that after his first ufc win.

  5. Fitch didn't put up a fight. He merely survived. Scores from judges of 50- 44 by 2 judges and 50-43 by the other prove that.

Lesnar dominated his match as well. He needs to learn submissions as he had Herring's back many times and could have ended it with a rear naked choke.

Florian just had a good game plan vs Huerta who has never been knocked out in his career.

  6. Yeah i wish there were some knockouts in the big 3 fights

  7. i agree with you to some extent i thought GSP looked fine..

the lesnar fight was kind of ridiculous.. it was more of a wrestling match with punches... i was wondering why he didnt at least try to hook a choke when he had his back numerous times..
