The UK economy over the last 10-15 years, what's it been like?

Hey there,

Starting A-level Economics next year, and over the summer we've been asked to assess what the UK's economy has been like over the past ten to fifteen years. This is taking into account GDP, Unemployment, Interest Rates, Inflation Rates, BOP.

The report isn't too long - but I am not really sure where to start researching. Graphs and charts are required, and my original thought was to get a graph on each of those things, and do an analysis on each. However, I am not sure what each means to the economy. Whether a change is good or bad etc - as I've not studied the subject before.

Can anyone offer me any advice. I don't imagine finding these figures will be too difficult, for the 'indicators' - but just don't know how to interpret these to what the UK economy has been like in this period.

Many Thanks
