Question:

The US Open - tennis?

I'm going to be going to a grand slam event for the first time! Hooray!

Could anyone that has already been to a grand slam explain what's it going to be like? Cause I don't want to go unprepared.

Will there be open practices featuring the tennis players? Autograph sessions. If yes how long are they? Is it often to see a tennis player go through the South Plaza?

I bought tickets for Arthur Ashe stadium so that means I can't go to the other courts if I don't like the match thats playing? Would they let me in another court?

Give me some info please! Thanks very much!

  1. WOW! first off just have fun, dont get frustrated if u dont get the players autographs. they really dont have autograph sessions but u can find on practise courts and ask them between matches or when they are walking off the courts. u can always c players riding in golf carts etc. going out to the outer courts but probably not many top pros. finally with ur ticket u can watch any outer court except the stadium court. most courts just have a few chairs or bleachers to watch from, no ticket check :)

  2. it's going to be my first time too.  i've asked for some tips a few days back, and i received 2 great responses that helped a lot.  just click on my profile and look into questions asked.  hope it'll help.

  3. Have a great time - it's a blast. But please make sure to read the security requirements; i.e., you can't bring a backpack, a beverage, etc. There is a list at the site below. If you bring any of the stuff you're not allowed to, you won't be let in unless you leave it behind.
