Its great to spread the medals around to all countries. Yesterday the US swept the 400 meter hurdles winning gold, silver and bronze. Not too shabby.

Not really - you can blame doping all you want - but it is evident that the Jamaicans along with the Bahamas have really improved over the years - it has made the T&F more exciting...

But man, by the looks of some of these answers, you've all lost the spirit of the Olympics and lack any kind of sportsmanship.. it's sad and I do pity ALL of YOU for your pettiness...

As an American I give credit where credit is due & am happy for anyone who wins based on their dedication.

yes, it is over. that's great for the sport. but the us will be back some day soon.

ya now that the doping police have really cracked down on the athletes they're finding it harder to win

the us athletes brought it upon themselves with all that doping.

i'm sure they'll discover US' own Usain Bolt at some point in the future

The minute they clamped down on drug taking in athletics the US was destined to lose its dominant status.

Yes....  for now.

I'm sure they will send scouts over to Jamaica or the rest of the world to try and find new talents.  Or try to lure Bolt over with a multi-million dollar contract.
