  1. All of the f-14 tomcats have been destroyed!

The us government claimed all privatly owned meusem airframes due to it's tactical capabilities and the fact that it can launch a particular missle I dont remember which. To minimise the risk of parts of this very capable fighter being used against the US and iit's allies.

You can expect this to happen to all fighter aircraft  from here on out, the f-15 and f-16 are next!!

  2. The US Military did not destroy all of the F-14 fighters in 2006,they just retired them due to high maintenance costs. Many aircraft survive and are mothballed in the desert awaiting destruction if not needed and there are many examples in museums. You should just goggle F-14 and you will find alot of web sites dedicated to the F-14 (You Tube has a video). I do not know if there is a video of any being cut up for scrap metal but it might be listed there.....

  3. Ahhh, the uneducated answers here....

All of the Tomcat were NOT cut up.  Many were, however, most of the 'D' models either went to museums or to storage.

  4. The F-14s are indeed being shredded. Here is the link.

Warning: Due to the graphic nature it is not recommended for those with weak hearts. Tomcat lovers, use your discretion.

Just kidding, but the video is not the end I'd want to see of the hero of Top Gun.
