Question:

The USA should pay homage to England, yes or no?

For creating the nation now known as the USA, providing the worlds best social and justice system, the English language etc. This would not have been possible if the Spanish had their way e.g look at Mexico and South America? correct? or not?

U need a history lesson, the Declaration of Independance, was in-part, based on the Declaration of Arbroath(1320)after the wars of Independance(Wallace1297-1305,Robert the Bruce1306-1320)between Scotland & England,when the Scots declared themselves tae be an ancient & seperate nation, after the Pope(JohnXXII) ordered a truce, the declaration was the Scots answer!The Pope had tae agree,eventually.credit for the language? Dae me a favour,English was  a mix of anglo-saxon-norman languages.

  6. My whole life I paid 'homage to England'.  I thought they were good people, our allies.  I always thought good things about their country growing up and most of my adult life.  Then I lived there and saw the truth.

    i am from ireland and one of my anchestors fled into exile for leading a rebellion and my family name used to be one of the most powerful in ireland up to 400 years ago because one of the clan leaders became a king of the holy land before dieing childless in battle

  9. well, yes and no, England didn't actually create america, only the original 13 colonies, the east coast . Spain had the west coast, France had the middle bit

  11. All that sort of chat leaves me cold, what is England, but a collection of people in a particular location?

    Having said that I am quite pleased to have been born in Britain, or as some would say, am British, there are lots of worse places that chance could have chosen.

    I even get a bit tetchy when I see what Americans can do to the English language-only joking.

    As for the justice, I agree, and between us, US/UK, that is under attack as it never has been before, the constitution, which, I believe, is something for Americans to be proud of, has suffered some serious abuse over the last few years.

  15. i think yes, because if it wasnt for their tyranny, then the US wouldnt have become the US in the first place. there wouldnt have been reason for them to rebel and start a new nation.

  16. The USA was created by people who opposed the oppressive government of England, fought for freedom and won. Our systems were devised to protect the citizens from the abuses committed by the English government.

    If England is so great, why is southern Ireland more stable and prosperous than British-controlled northern Ireland?

    The Spanish-influenced Mexican army attempted a war with the US. Their behinds were kicked back to Mexico City. No correlation to the American Revolution.

    The USA owes no homage or anything else to England.
