The Underdog, Rey Mysterio, wins 'Falls Count Anywhere Match' over Cody Rhodes: WWE News
The Ultimate Underdog, Rey Mysterio, took the amazing victory before going into the Monday Night Raw. Mysterio defeated his rival, Cody Rhodes, in a 'Falls Count Anywhere Match' at Extreme Rules on May 1. Extreme Rules, the annual Pay-Per-View event of WWE,
took at Tampa, Florida.
The Master of 619 was drafted to Monday Night Raw in WWE Drafts results. It was his last match in SmackDown's roster that took the gracious victory for him. The feud between Cody and Mysterio started on January 21, at SmackDown. The Underdog, Mysterio, blasted
Cody with his finishing move 619 that broke Cody’s nose.
The several-time confrontation of Cody in Mysterio’s matches caused a WrestleMania XXVII match. A very brutal victory was taken by Cody at WrestleMania XXVII. But Cody was still angry with Mysterio. He continued to assault Mysterio during SmackDown. Now,
as Mysterio was drafted to Monday Night Raw, it was the last chance for Cody to wound The Underdog. Cody stated that he would put Mysterio on the stricture at Extreme Rules so that he could never go for Raw.
Now the time had come for the Extreme Rules. Cody entered the ring with his assistant having paper bags. He gave those bags to his fans an said them to put those paper masks on their faces. Mysterio entered the ring with a huge pop by WWE Universe. The bell
rung and they were locked in.
Both superstars took full benefit from the 'Falls Count Anywhere Match' structure. The two arch rivals first fought on the floor of entrance ramp then concession area and arena stairs and then finally entered the ring. The Ultimate Underdog, Mysterio, took
the benefit of a new trick in his ring arsenal. He spit a strange blue-green mist into Cody’s face and body.
The Master disoriented Cody and knocked Cody on the ropes to set for the 619 position. Reminding him of the pain of January 21, The Master hit Cody with 619 and a Springboard Splash Combo for three counts. Following the huge 'Extreme Rules' victory, The
Master will appear on Monday Night Raw to join the Raw roster.
