The Undertaker returns for WrestleMania 28, faces Triple H – Wrestling news
The Undertaker finally made his return to the ring on WWE’s Monday night RAW, on January 31, when Triple H was bawling out on John Joseph Laurinaitis, the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations for WWE.
The Undertaker’s surprise entrance took back Triple H, the audience and John with a shock. Triple H, who was trying his level best to take over John, was left intimidated with the Dead Man’s fuming eyes over him.
However, no war of words or physical interaction between the two superstars took place as Triple H walked away tapping the Undertaker on his left shoulder, which definitely was not conceived as a very good attempt by the Phenom.
It must be noted here that it was Triple H had brutally beaten the Undertaker in their last bout at WrestleMania 27 in a No Holds Barred match. Even though Triple H was the dominating power in the ring, it was the Undertaker who finally made him submit to
walk away with another addition to his 18-0 undefeated streak, making it 19-0.
The Undertaker has been able to maintain his undefeated streak for years despite many of the top wrestlers in the industry trying to bring it down. Before Triple H, it was Shawn Michaels who competed with the Undertaker twice to break his streak.
In WrestleMania 25, Shawn Michaels fought with the Undertaker to make it the 25th anniversary of the event spectacular. The match went on to become one of the best matches in WWE history with the Undertaker defeating the showstopper.
However, the defeat was not taken seriously by Mr. WrestleMania and he decided to take on the Undertaker in WrestleMania 26 as well. The Undertaker accepted his challenge but asked him to put his career on line if he wants to have the streak on stake.
Both the fighters accepted and the match was decided. After probably the toughest fight the Undertaker has ever faced put forward by Shawn, the Phenom managed to win while Shawn Michaels had to retire.
As of now, it seems like it will be Triple vs. The Undertaker once again with the streak on line. But what will Triple H put on stake despite his reputation?
