The United Kingdom continues to be dominated by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, no surprises there
After taking a look at the PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 charts it is now time to turn our attention to the overall software sales charts in the United Kingdom and surprise, surprise Activision’s Modern Warfare 3 is still at number one.
Despite that there has been plenty of movement elsewhere in the UK software sales charts:
10. Super Mario 3D Land: the game that is getting 3DS owners to wipe the dust off their consoles, Super Mario 3D Land is a must have for any Mario fan as well as anyone who happens to have a 3DS.
9. Battlefield 3: It may be on its last legs in the sales chart, however Christmas is not too far away and a majority of the big titles, such as Battlefield, are sure to get a few extra sales in during the festive season.
8. Mario Kart 7: another instalment in the long running, highly popular Mario Kart series has made its way onto Nintendo consoles.
7. Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call: all we can say is that sometimes Nintendo just throws games at everyone that are so enjoyable, one can forgive the developers for the weird names they are given.
6. Saints Row: The Third: One cannot stop commenting at just how unique and ‘out there’ this particular game is, but to give everyone an idea of gamers can expect in Saints Row: The Third, it has been revealed that the cause of over 2-million
deaths in the game were from hits from d***o bats.
5. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Despite the fact that the PlayStation 3 version of the game is suffering from a host of glitches and bugs, Skyrim continues to sell well, though the game dragons may be one of the reasons why.
4. Just Dance 3: it seems that a large number of consumers in the United Kingdom like to, and pardon our French, ‘shake their booty’ as Just Dance 3 is just one spot off the top three places in the chart.
3. Assassin’s Creed: Revelations: Ezio Auditore de Firenze had a disappointing opening week in the PC charts fourth place was all that the game was able to manage to manage, however, the strong console sales meant that the game is still
in top three in the overall sales charts.
2. FIFA 12: no surprises here as FIFA 12 is one of the best FIFA, if not the best football simulation games to date, as it continues to sell in large numbers which is a credit to the games’ developers.
1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: the world’s fascination with the Call of Duty series continues as Modern Warfare 3 continues to rule almost every chart where its name pops up. No surprises there.
