Okay so I live in the U.S. but I've always liked the U.K. because I have to admit I am a beatles fan and they're from there but I've also been thinking about moving there but I don't see how I can seeing as I'm a US citizen. What should I do? and What is it like in the UK?

  1. I wouldn't base your entire knowledge on a country on a band that came from there. How can you tell you'd like this country when you haven't ever visited it and don't even know much about it? Let alone chose to live here.

If you really feel strong about it, then at least visit the UK first. See how life is over here and have a taste of it, because you don't even know that. See if it's the life for you.

Also, to actually be able to stay here (for over 6 months) you'll need a Visa. They are really only attained by marrying a UK citizen, or obtaining one via work, to get a job with a company, who will offer you a Visa so you are able to stay in the UK to work. These are rarely given out however, usually only given to the 'big-shot' workers with high salaries or high ranking.

  2. well i don't think you should base moving out there just because you like the beatles but i myself would like to move there as well and i've been researching it alot . do you have any reletives or anyone you know out there ? that might help you get in . its really cloudy over there, and november 5th over there will be tons of fun there not famous for there food but you can get most of the things you get over here there . i suggest fish and chips or shepards pie .

why don't you just go visit your self and see if you like it ?

im visiting next year :) good luck .

  3. The UK good well i would say that been born here, to live here though not sure you'd need a visa i believe and whats it like wet lol!

  4. hey there, you cant just go on a whim and stay. try this link for info

i am from the U.K and my husband is from the U.S, we are living in the U.K at the moment. I would suggest that you visit first, your allowed to stay for 6 months in a 12 month period. If you find someone to sponsor you for work you may get in that way, but right now its as long winded as  trying to get into the States, ( trust me i know ) also expensive. I married my U.S hubby two years ago, needed two visas and cost around $2000. Good luck to you if that what you want, be prepared though there are many differences between the two countries. Have fun.

  5. maybe you should come for a week just to see what it is like

There are lots of things to do like london eye and aquarium, london bridge

oh and you might see the queen!

Loads if celebs too but if you go to madam tussauds, you will love it

there is also a variety of food and shops so you will loove it!

so come for a week and decide then!

  6. I'd swap places to live in USA anyday. The yanks don't have the same problems in the UK.

  7. You actually have enough money to relocate to a foreign country on a whim? I envy you!

  8. Don't move here. You will regret it.

Its full of foreigners, there's ALOT of polish, Muslims, Indians, Hungarians, all sorts. And it's beyond the joke! Pay rise has gone up, it's just not worth it.
