The United States can produce enough food to feed the entire world. Then why do we have starvation in certain nations? Is it our responsibility to feed everyone?

  1. I agree with Ed F

  2. Because instead of donating food, we use it all ourselves, and enough edible food to feed 49 million people even ends up in LANDFILLS!!! it s not our respnsibility to feed  EVERYONE, but still some people! u should write a leter to the editor or somethin about that

  3. In a lot of countries, food sent from other countries sits in the harbor and rots because of internal conflicts. Or the government confiscates everything for themselves and don't care whether their people have food or not. Plus, they like to keep the people hungry, because if you're worried about where your next meal is coming from, you're not worried about politics or overthrowing the power-hungry dictator. The problem is NOT that we don't send aid; it's the fact that a lot of times it never gets to the people it's intended to help.

  4. No it is not our responsibility to feed or police the whole world. That was supposed to be the job of the U.N.

  5. We have starvation here in the United States.
