The Urdu word, Chachi, what does it exactly mean? Aunt or Grandmother?

    Chachi is a hindi word, but since the word Chachi is also used in Punjab and in Pakistan so it is now a part of their day to day speech too.

    The origing of chachi is basically from the word "chachera", which is ur paternal brother. or may be vice-versa.

    chaha is uncle that means your father's brother and chachi means his wife that means aunty.

    p.s: for heaven's sake, from where did u come up with the idea that its urdu or punjabi, havn't you read chacha chaudhary comics ever?
