The Viper, Randy Orton drops his position from third to fourth in WWE’s Power 25 – WWE Update
The former World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton dropped his position in the Power 25 list of WWE. He was placed from third to fourth position in the current week’s rankings by WWE that were updated until the weekend of September 24.
The Apex Predator, Orton participated during WWE’s pay-per-view segment, Night of Champions on September 18 and a weekly edition of Friday Night SmackDown on September 23. The Viper set to defend his World Heavyweight title against the World’s Strongest
Man, Mark Henry.
The Viper put all his efforts to win the match but could not defend his title. He lost his match via pinfall, when Henry covered him after hitting the World’s Strongest Slam. The Viper was shocked with the World title loss that he could not attend the Monday
Night Raw segment. As per rematch clause, it was announced that the Viper would get his title shot at the upcoming pay-per-view event, h**l in the Cell during next month.
On September 23, the Viper appeared during Friday Night SmackDown segment where he was set to face the Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes. During the fight, Cody tried to hit with his mask distracting the referee which was illegal. Cody pinned for the
victory but could not gain victory and it made the Viper angry as well. The Viper hit with the same mask that got him disqualified and Cody won the match via disqualification. The victory proved bad for the Intercontinental Champion. Randy started beating
him brutally and hit him with the ring bell that caused bleeding from Cody’s face. The Viper RKO’ed him on the announce table as well. Furthermore, the Viper also appeared after Henry’s Lumberjack match and assaulted him as well proving that he was more dominant
than Henry.
Although, the Viper proved himself as dominant but still he declined from his place and due to officially losing the bouts, he was moved down a place. Despite striking him off from the Top 5 list, WWE decreased him just one step down as he still demonstrated
great efforts and skills.
