The Volleyball schedule for the 16th Asian Games in China 2010
The Common Wealth Games in India are covering the last leg and will conclude on the 14th of October. China is next in line to host the similar activity next month. The wonderful event of 16th Asian Games is scheduled to begin in Guangzhou
from November 13th.
The 16th Asian Games have a prominent feature that volleyball teams are also on the board to display their amazing games skills. The schedule for the volleyball match is outlined in this report.
The volleyball tournament in 16th-Asian Games will be welcoming 14 teams from Asia to take part in the fabulous volleyball action. The squad includes China, Pakistan, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Iran, Mongolia,
Myanmar, Hong Kong, Kuwait and Qatar. The aspiring young star from these countries will contest their abilities in order to catch the limelight.
The tournament will start with the preliminary round, which will continue for first five days. The teams have been divided into four pools: Pool A, Pool B, Pool C and Pool D. The match fixtures are as followed:
Day 1- 13-10-10
Pool A: China vs. Pakistan, Chinese Taipei vs. Thailand Pool B: Korea vs. Vietnam Pool C: Indonesia vs. Turkmenistan, Iran vs. Mongolia Pool D: Myanmar vs. Hong Kong, Kuwait vs. Qatar
Day 2
Pool A: Pakistan vs. Thailand, China vs. Chinese Taipei Pool B: India vs. Kazakhstan Pool C: Turkmenistan vs. Iran, Saudi Arabia vs. Indonesia Pool D: Hong Kong vs. Kuwait, Japan vs. Myanmar
Day 3
Pool A: No matches Pool B: Vietnam vs. Kazakhstan, Korea vs. India Pool C: Iran vs. Saudi Arabia, Mongolia vs. Turkmenistan Pool D: Kuwait vs. Japan, Qatar vs. Hong Kong
Day 4
Pool A: Chinese Taipei vs. Pakistan Pool B: India vs. Vietnam Pool C: Saudi Arabia vs. Mongolia, Indonesia vs. Iran Pool D: Japan vs. Qatar, Myanmar vs. Kuwait
Day 5
Pool A: Thailand vs. China Pool B: Kazakhstan vs. Korea Pool C: Mongolia vs. Indonesia, Turkmenistan vs. Saudi Arabia Pool D: Qatar vs. Myanmar, Hong Kong vs. Japan
After the preliminary round, top two teams from each pool will compete for the 1st-8th position; third and fourth place of each pool will play 9th-16th position matches. The quarter-finals will be held on 21st
November and it will be followed by final four matches. The tournament will be closed on 24th November, 2010 with the final rankings.
