The WWE Champion, John Cena, loses his place due to Table Match loss at Monday Night Raw
It was an unlucky week for the WWE Champion, John Cena, as he lost his first place in the Power 25 list updated for the week of June 26 to July 2. The WWE Champion lost his place as he was defeated by R-Truth during Monday Night Raw Roulette.
The Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science in conjunction with WWE, updated the Power 25 list on the basis of Monday Night Raw, Thursday Night WWE Superstars and Friday Night SmackDown that took place during the past week. The WWE Champion participated in
the Monday Night Raw that was conducted on June 27. The Anonymous Raw General Manager set his match against R-Truth and its stipulations were set by spinning the Roulette.
The WWE announce team member, Booker T rolled the Roulette that set the stipulation of match as a Table Match. Moreover, it was announced as the main event of the Monday Night Raw. It was a non-title Table Match and the WWE Champion was nearly winning that
match. But CM Punk confronted in the fight that caused the victory for R-Truth. One of the most angry WWE Superstar, R-Truth, laid the WWE Champion into the table that was lying in the corner.
The loss for WWE Champion caused him to lose his first place in the Power 25 current week. He was on the top of the list last week due to Championship match victory over R-Truth in WWE pay-per-view event “Capitol Punishment”.
The New Nexus’ leader, CM Punk, become the number one contender by winning the number one contender match against Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio during Monday Night Raw on June 20. This week, he stated that he would leave WWE on July 17 as the WWE Champion.
CM Punk not only cost the WWE Champion the Table Match, but also abused The WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon, John Cena and The Rock. Due to that misconduct, The WWE Chairman quickly suspended him from WWE. The tonight’s Monday Night Raw will decide that whether
he will be fighting with WWE Champion or not.
