The Washington Wizards reduce Charlotte Bobcats to their third straight game 108-75
The game turned over for the Charlotte Bobcats as the Washington Wizards pulled out a 31-11 lead in the third quarter. Monday night brought cheers to the Wizards fans as they inspired to break their seven-game losing streak. Charlotte Bobcats are trotting
down badly as the last nine days have been a bad influence on them. They have seen three consecutive losses and that too by more than 30 points. Atlanta Hawks limited them to 90-85 and Memphis Grizzlies to a 113-80 loss.
The top scorer of the game turned out to be Nick Young who scored 21 points, Andray Blatche added 19 and Kirk Hinrich contributed 18 points and dished out 11 assists for his team. The Wizards grabbed nine team rebounds.
The Charlotte Bobcats were not actually in their spirits and lacked the courage to look the Wizards in the eyes as Stephen Jackson survived a game that made him 13 points, Kwame Brown and Tyrus Thomas added 10 points apiece and D.J. Augustine and Derrick
Brown contributed nine apiece to the Bobcats’ box score. The team grabbed eight rebounds.
Quote it
"Whenever a trade happens, it's kind of an eye-opener; you try and regroup as a team. So far, we've done a pretty good job of that." This is how Hinrich felt after Gilbert Arenas was traded to Orlando Magic in place of Rashard Lewis this Saturday.

Game stats
The Charlotte Bobcats tricked the Bobcats into 34 rebounds whereas the Wizards had 31 added to their box score. Bobcats grabbed nine offensive rebounds and the Wizards had six. The Charlotte Bobcats gave away as many as 27 turnovers that turned out to be
disastrous for them. The Wizards were careful enough to give 14 only.
The Wizards took 26 fast break points, took the biggest lead with 34 points and had 40 points in the paint. Charlotte Bobcats had just six fast break points, took the biggest lead with two points and had 38 points in the paint.
Confessions
Larry Brown, Bobcats coach later took all the blame on himself for his team’s undermining performance. "We're not a team. We're not well-coached. We don't play hard.” He said, “That's my responsibility. I feel bad. To put a team out there and look that way,
it's totally my responsibility."
Charlotte Bobcats could not exceed their shooting 1 for 14 from the field performance and this happened after they were outscored by the Wizards 31-11 in the third quarter.
Turning point
Washington Wizards ruptured a 21-2 run in the third quarter that powered up a 71-47 lead with 6:30 in regulation.
Strongest link
Young has maintained an average of 23.5 points with John Wall missing due to a bruised right knee.
Weakest link
Gerald Wallace has not appeared in the last three games because of a sprained left ankle and Dominic McGuire is filling up for him these days. Wallace is the second leading scorer of Bobcats, maintaining 16.7 points per game, on the other hand McGuire is
completely in contrast to him. He is maintaining only 3 for 15 from the field. McGuire is a unique case, and he could not score even a single point during 21 minutes in his first game with the Washington Wizards.
More to watch
Bobcats: Tuesday vs. Thunder, Dec. 27 vs. Pistons, Dec. 29 vs. Cavaliers.
