The Williamhill.com St Leger First Round Heats got wrapped up with the draw for the quarter-finals
The results of each heat of the Williamhill.com St Leger First Round placed the first three qualifiers for the next round. The first round of the St Leger event consisted of eight heats, while the second round, which is the quarter-finals, consists of four
heats that would finalise the semi-finals' line-up.
Starting from Heat 1, trainer C Allsopp’s Head Iton Jason has been reserved for trap 1.
Previously, the black dog performed quite well and defeated the ideal of the race, Lemon Maldini.
Earlier in the first round, Head Iton Jason was trainer K J Findlay’s black hound’s neighbour.
Likewise he will be starting his chase, adjoining with the purse winner of Williamhill.com St leger Heat 8, Fleeting Image, who is now placed in trap 2.
Trap 3 is reserved for Penskey John, trained by B C G Fanous. The fawn dog finished third in heat 1 of the first round of the St Leger event.
The hound who has been decided to chase from the outside position of the runners is Capoley Ash.
The trap 4 runner will be chasing the lure for trainer B Draper, finishing second from trap 6 in the first round.
The doors of trap 5 will open for Blonde Blitz. Trainer A M P Collett’s blue hound will run as a wide runner.
In the first round, Blonde Blitz was the purse winner. Collett has his fingers crossed for the upcoming competition.
The team of heat 1 concludes with Lemon Maldini as a wide runner, who has been given another chance to give a hit from trap 6.
St Leger's Heat 2 opens the first trap for Superstar Lily, who managed to finish second in the first round, for trainer K R Hutton.
Trap 2 is all set to strike Reagrove Rachel out to set the track on fire. Though trainer J E Gammon’s black b***h came second earlier, expectations are still high from the hound.
J E Gammon’s black dog, Snowdon Flyer, who was the purse winner, made his place in the quarter-finals, starting his chase from trap 3.
Blue Bee, who stood third previously, has managed to place herself in the quarter-finals, ready to go through trap 4 for M J Dartnall.
Skywalkershearer, being the 5/4 ideal in the previous event's heat 2, proudly gave a hit. Now he will be running from trap 5 as a middle runner, in urge to win the purse for S A Cahil.
The last trap, trap 6, is reserved for the wide runner Droopys Greg. N Savva’s black dog, being the ideal of the previous race, gave a tremendous hit.
In heat 3, the track will be set on fire, when trap 1 opens for Blonde fletch.
M A Wallis is confident about his young champ, who being the most favourite of the previous race, gave a hit.
Trap 2 is reserved for Wise Totty, who finished second in the first round for trainer P V Swadden.
Curragh Kewell will start his chase for trainer B C G Fanon, from trap 3. Though he finished third earlier, he has been given a chance to make his trainer proud.
Kielduff Merc, finishing third previously, is placed in trap 4 for trainer C T Lynch, whereas trap 5 will welcome the wide runner, Barefoot Machine, for trainer P Hennessy.
Trap 6 will have trainer K R Hutton’s Penskey Rain, a black dog, who sadly finished third previously, but if being given another chance to prove his caliber.
The last heat of the St Leger event, heat 4, will start when trap 1 opens for C Allsopp’s Skyline Amber, while trap 3 will let M A Wallis’s Aero Majestic present a superb hit to confirm his position in the semi-finals.
The middle runner, Bridge Diamond’s, chase for the lure will begin from trap 4 while in the neighboring trap, trap 5, M L Locke’s hound will be besides another middle runner, N Mcellistrim’s Mwebe Hilda. The trap 5 runner managed to finish second earlier.
Last but not the least, trap 6 has been reserved for the wide runner, Darts Wizard, who fantastically won the purse in the first round as P J Simmonds had his fingers  crossed.
The event is scheduled on Friday, 23rd September, at the same venue, Wimbledon, covering a distance of 687 meters.
