World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton defies the destiny of Sheamus and retains the title
The World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton, defied the destiny of the number one contender, Sheamus, as he won the World Heavyweight Championship match over Sheamus during Friday Night SmackDown tonight.
The Champion, Orton retained his championship at WWE’s pay-per-view event 'Over the Limit' on May 22, after an amazing fight. On May 27, The Captain Charisma demanded a rematch, but Sheamus and Mark Henry came out and said that they deserved the match now.
The SmackDown General Manager, Theodore Long, came out and decided that Henry and Sheamus would have their chance as Christian had already availed two chances. Afterwards, the fight was changed to triple-threat-match as WWE Universe desired to put Christian
in the fight also.
During the match, Orton also interrupted in the fight and hit RKO on Mark Henry. Christian hit Spear on Sheamus and pinned him down, but the referee was busy in knocking Orton out. Due to the distraction, Sheamus hit Brogue Kick and took the victory after
three counts.
Tonight, Christian came out with the opening of the show to face Mark Henry and he defeated him as well. The SmackDown GM, Teddy, came out and decided that Orton will face Sheamus in a title match tonight and Christian will be the special guest referee.
The WHC title fight began at the end of the show. Christian came out into the ring in a referee’s uniform. The Viper also came out with the huge pop of WWE Universe. Sheamus also came out to compete for his destiny of winning World Title. The match started
and Sheamus gained the momentum first by kicking and punching Orton. Soon The Viper recovered and hit DDT over the second ropes. When the Viper was ready for an RKO, Sheamus survived and hit a heavy Brogue Kick for pinning. While Christian was counting, he
stopped after two counts and excused that he hurt his wrist. Sheamus got angry and started yelling at Christian. The Viper took the opportunity and hit hsi RKO on Sheamus for victory. The WWE Universe applauded The Viper with huge pops for retaining his championship.
