The Worst Hard Time?

Question

Has anyone else read this? I am about 2/3 of the way through it, and frankly, I find it disappointing. I generally enjoy historical tales like Devil in the White City, Isaac's Storm, Curse of the Narrows, and I thought this would be good as well. It says on the cover "This is can't-put-it-down history." Well, I've put it down many times. It seems to get interesting only every once in while. I'm just curious how other people feel about this book.

my classmates and i have to read this before school starts on sept 2nd so  imagine how screwed we are when we're like on page... 80

i totally agree with you! the comments such as "can't put it down history" made me think this was going to be really interesting, but i am SO bored out of my mind, i find myself gettin angry at my teachers for assigning it and at the author.. for writing it. haha
