  1. y=mx+b

    y=-x-8 (subtracting x to get it into slope-intercept form)

    B= the y intercept

    So its -8

  2. You have to make x = 0 so then y would be -8.  You then take what you substituted for your x, which is 0.  The answer is (0, -8)

  3. When X = - 8 Y will equal 0 and as such be on the line, and an intercept (-8,0)

  4. y=mx + b

    the y-coordinate of the y-intercept is b

    y=-x-8

    In your case, the y-int is (0.-8)
