08/29/08 Friday 8pm I just took one pink pill of the so-dreaded YAZ birth control. I read so many negative posts about this pill that I was so scared to even try it. After speaking with my Ob/gyn and pharmacist, I decided to give it a try. I’m so eager and anxious to see the results!!!! I’m sick and tired of the acne that I wasn’t successful getting rid off for the past 3 yrs! and other horrible symptoms associated with hormones. Turns out that after reading about PMDD - premenstrual dysphoric disorder – I discovered that I’m a PMDD sufferer and it has made my life miserable for the past years. It’s like roller coaster ride of symptoms that I’m hoping YAZ helps out with.
Oh! And for those reading this post, thanks and apologies for grammar, spelling, word choice and other language killers. English is my second language :)
I’ve being on and off birth control pills ever since I was 20yrs old. Now I'm 28. It’s being about a year that I haven’t taken any. I had a pack left from a previous prescription Solari – a generic of Ortho-Cept which I started on Saturday 08/24/08 because once again I was toooo desperate to do something about my acne!!!! So that means I took Ortho-Cept for 4 days from Sat to Tues. I know I know it’s stupid to switch pills like that but I did it! and we’ll see the consequences :P
I want to write my feelings and behavior every day to see the positive changes (hopefully) and negatives as well. My memory is really bad... this way I will know the improvements of my condition.
Before taking the pill today, I felt happy, did lots of shopping for me and food for my kitties and other activities. So overall, today was a good day for me. Yesterday i didn't feel very well for no reason.... very moody and nostalgic.
I’m weighting 122 pounds, which I love it! I have to say that during those 4 days of taking Ortho-cept I saw a significance difference in my skin. My whole face got tigher, pores got a bit smaller, and my waist got narrower. I’m 28 but my skin felt, and to me it looked, as if I was 36. The pores were huge and my skin was sagging. I have other much older friends and family members that their skin doesn’t look as bad as mine.
I have to say that it’s being an hour after I took Yaz and I’m already feeling a bit of a headache. The pain is in the back of my head and around my eyes. We’ll see what happens tomorrow!!!
P.s. I'm taking yaz for the obvious reason - birth control.
