stoped taking my birth control pills in may and have had a normal period since then but now i am two months late and my husband thinks i might be pregnant. i have taken several hpt and they were all negative and i went to the doctor she did a urine test that was negative. i told her that my nipples had been sore for over a week, i borke out with some little bumps on my face and a few pimples, which is odd. she said i might be and that since my husband and i were ok with eith outcome that i shold just wait and see what happens in the next month. i thought she would examine me or take blood but all she did was say that i might be pregnant and she recomended waiting a month and comming back in. i am usually a very regular person with or without birth control so this is a first time for me to even be a week late. i thought it might me i am odd form the bc but this morning i thought i was going to get my period cause i had somem discoloration so i have worn a pad all day and now there is only a few dark spots on it and i am still getting the discoloration when i pee.i am taking her advice and waiting i just wanted some input from anyone who might of had the same thing happen to them or could give me some advice i hate waiting!!! thanks

  1. how long were you on the birth control pills??? that might have a lot to do with it. anyway i had spotting like that with my second child and i had it for 2 months. the first test i took was negative, but i didn't go to the doctor. when i waited until the 2nd month and still no HEAVY period, i took another test and it was positive. i was not on birth controll before i tho so it could be pregnancy or it could be the pills. your best bet is probably to wait it out. if the test is still negative, then you are probably NOT pregnant. they are pretty accurate especially when its been a while since your period.

  2. More than likely it is just your body trying to recover from the shock of getting off the birth control pills....sometimes it takes our bodies quite  a long time to get regular again.
