  1. pentanamide. It's CH3(CH2)4NH2. You only use the prefix N- to indicate substituents attached to the amino group, other than the pentan- hydrocarbon group. It's not pentanoicamide because you only use the prefix pentan-. The functional group for an amide is -ONH2, remember.
