specific temperature is called....._______.

2.)A weather station has just reported the temperature as 85o and the relative humidity as being 40%. If you went out side which of the conditions described below would be what you would expect with this level relative humidity?

The air would be hot, but fairly dry air - comfortable.

It would feel cool, due to this temperature and relative humidity combination.

The air in these conditions would feel hot, wet, and sticky.

    2) answer one - comfortable

  3. 1) relative humidity

  4. 1. Relative humidity.

    2. Hot and dry.

  5. The answers are

    1) relative humidity

    2) hot but comfortable because its a dry heat.  The temperature is high with no humidity

  6. I still don't get the whole water vapor idea. If water - 2 hydrogen and an oxygen atom combined - weighs more than the surrounding air, which has always been explained to me as being mostly nitrogen plus oxygen with other trace elements, HOW can water "float" in air? Call it vapor if you will, but it still seems to defy gravity...
