The arches of my feet are really sore and bug me during races, how do I stretch these or make them feel better? I've found it hurts most after running on dirt roads or uneven ground, but I'm running xc so I kinda have to run there.

  1. I'm a runner too with high arches (same problem) I buy arch supports & put them in my shoes..it helps tremendously!!!

  2. I too suffer from the same problem.

When I ran long distance in track, it felt like the arches were being pulled, and the muscle strained.

One thing that helps, is to stretch the area.

You can do this by bending your toes back and forth.

You could also massage the arches, to warm them up prior to a race.

If you have a school trainer, you could ask them to wrap your arches up, with athletes tape.

This will absorb more shock, and help to keep your arches from tearing.
