They are poisonous and have a cheap plastic shell that cracks several hours after removal from the water because the plastic has insufficient UV resistance.  The pincers, like the tires they produce, often delaminate at high speed resulting in more accidents.  It is also important to note that most of the exoskeleton is filled with diarrhea.
