  1. Toronto was rated as the most expensive city in Canada but the cost of living in Toronto can vary greatly depending on your life style (in which part of the city you reside, your grocery shopping, transportation, etc) however the average cost is $2000 a month for one person.

  2. If you want to do it on the cheap:

    -shared accommodation (not downtown): $400

    -TTC pass - $109

-Food from cheap grocery store - $120

    -cell phone - $50

a good way to do it is to find some shared accommodation that includes cable and internet - and the big killers in terms of cost are taxis and night clubs.  Bring a bicycle!
