  1. Nah

  2. Well its quite likely something answered by simple science. Its quite likely children were born with such unforunate defects 500 or more years ago. And what do you think happened, the not so bright locals probably built a religion around what is solved by common sense.

  3. The villagers should be lauded for accepting the child as a miracle instead of a freak as many of the respondents to this question would prefer to believe.  My question is which shows a kinder spirit, the villagers who can see beauty in this unusual baby or the so-called realists who condemn what ever they cannot understand?  I personally would prefer to side with the villagers who graciously accept all life as a gift and all creatures as an embodiment of the god-spirit.

  4. Of course not, just an unfortunate freak of nature, no doubt a siamese twin.

  5. No.Hopefully she'll receive appropriate medical care.

  6. Can you give us the link?

  7. no i am hindu but i do not think she is goddes

the problem in india is that they practice hinduism not spiritualy but more of a worship type and materialisticly

no where in the vedas it says about this incarnation

  8. Its weird.  I heard about a 8 arm and legs baby from india, not so long ago.  This kinda resembles Buddha.  He got surgery to remove the extra arms and legs though.  Before this, people in India also believed that he was reincarnated as Buddha.  Its weird that India got an 8 arm/leg baby and a 2 face baby recently.

  9. Sadly a freak of nature that should have been aborted long before birth.

  10. Give me a link that'll show me of a photo of her and then maybe I can make a judgement.

When she's older and she does something naughty I presume they'll say, "you'll be laughing on the other side of your other face in a minute". lol

Well maybe she is a Goddess - who's to say not?

  11. I find it interesting that this is the third or fouth baby girl born in India with a defect that resembles one of the Hindu goddesses.  Sort of makes you wonder.......

What I want to know is, why are so many baby girls being born with extreme birth defects in India?

  12. No. Goddesses are brilliant persons when they go to incarnation.

  13. no--the 2nd face would be where a twin tried, but for some reason, didn't develop--in other words, the egg didn't split in two completely or was absorbed partially by other egg.

  14. No...but i'm not from that culture

  15. No, I think something went wrong early on in pregnancy. Poor little mite.

  16. That isn't the most interesting question, in my opinion. If in no medical danger, should she be given plastic surgery to make her look 'normal'?

  17. no, just a poor kid

    regards x kitti x

  18. Baby with two faces?

If it helps the locals to be good to her then yes, if it means she is going to be hindered out of a life then no.

Her life will be unusual anyway, so if the locals are going to be good to her due to their faith then I think I should leave well alone (unless they give her powers over others and then no).

How can I say I am in two minds, so where does that leave me?

  19. absolutely NOT!

  20. No!

And the ancient goddess probably had the same condition that lali has.

  21. That's simply tragic, but a direct result of inbreeding.

She should have been aborted before being born. Terrible cruelty to subject her to life as a freak.

  22. They live in a village rife with illiteracy & superstition.

What really touched me was that the Mother & Father don't seem concerned at all by the hype around their baby, created mostly by the village elders, but love their baby for what she is, their child.

Medical organisations have come forward with offers & medical aid to reconstruct the little face so lets hope this child has a hope & chance for a normal & carefree life.

Edit: Btw, i'm Indian...born & brought up & presently residing in Bombay, India.
