People who go to college do it because they think that is what people do, so they follow like sheep. Also, they want to go to college because that is where they can be away from their parents and have no boundaries to act like the real self, hedonistic parasites ready for s*x with as many victims they can get. Universities are not interested in education, they are interested in getting students, the more students, the more money they make, it is all about money, not education. Graduating from college is a peace of cake, just last for four years and be able to pay for it. Test and homework is easy and you can pay people to do it. Teachers don't really care, they get paid to show up and lecture, they don't care if you really learn or not. American education is for people who want to have s*x with students and to justify four last years of irresponsibility and animal house.

  1. not every college is Arizona State dude

  2. How very sad for you to think that going to college is all about lining Mr. University's pocket with money.

Why not think that going to college will benefit YOU, instead?

  3. WOW, I am sorry that you are so bitter.  Getting an education is something that allows a person to grow as an individual. It broadens your background.    You apparently haven't met many good professors.  I must say, bigger universities, like WVU, have large classes and you are just a number.  Try smaller universities and colleges where people care and know who you are.

  4. I don't know about you but it got me a job immediately at 12,000 a year. When minumum wage was around 1.10 an hour.

  5. Uh... no, I disagree.  Sounds like sour grapes to me.  Did you have a bad experience?

  6. Speak for yourself.

Teachers do care. Only a small  very very % of teachers have  s*x w/students.

    * I have a BA and I'm going for my MA.

btw your spelling and grammar suck. Paying people to do your HW is cheating and you can be expelled.

  7. A bachelor's degree is important to have.  It enters you into a professional world where you could do good things for society through your work and be rewarded by making a living for yourself.  It is not a piece of cake to get, you have to work hard and stay focused enough to finish.  Some people only go to college for only one year or so, and it shows in their half-a**ed way of going through their lives.   Those people have trouble making a good living sometimes and may lead them to working  a job they don't really value.  So, college is not just a party it is much more than that if you can finish it - get a degree.

  8. well, seems like the people you are talking about are not the people who want to learn.  I go to college because I have an interest in learning and want to expand the bounds of my mind.  Graduating college is not a piece of cake because you cannot sleep your way through college.  The professors at my school (at least in the Bio dept) do care about my education and always want students to come to them for extra help.  To me, it seems that you are uneducated, narrow minded and very judgemental about something that you either have failed at.or have no knowledge about.

  9. Maybe you are jealous because you got turned down for the college's you applied for. It's not our fault we go to college and you don't. It's your fault you don't want to further your education. And just so you know, I enjoy learning. That's why I'm and education major so I can teach other's how not to end up like you.

  10. "peace of cake"... you mean piece, right?!

Maybe you should consider getting a college education. Not a bad idea, huh?

  11. Absolutely not.  I'm sure there are some people and some situations which fit your description, but don't broad-brush the rest of us!  My life would be completely different, and not in a good way, if I hadn't gone to college.  I may have gone originally because my parents expected it of me, but I'm glad they did.  And yes, I could gain some independence by going away to college, and my behavior at times may have been less than exemplary, but that is how I grew up to be an independent adult, which was really necessary for me.  I've worked at a number of universities, and all of them were interested in getting students - so that they could pursue education.  They are all nonprofits, so their goal isn't to get rich.  Graduating from college was at times academically challenging, at times not.  Paying for it was the least of my worries.  Tests and homework may have been easy, but I didn't know what I might have been able to get away with, so I worked hard and did well.  I never paid anyone to do it, and I don't know of anyone who does.  I've been a teacher for almost 30 years at universities, and my whole reason for being, as it is for most of my colleagues, is to have you learn.    I don't get the s*x with students reference, and I have never had to be as responsible as I was in college. Animal House was a movie, not the reality of most colleges.

  12. I agree to a point.  All the way up to the graduating college is a piece of cake comment.  That and everything after is just pointless ranting.

But you have a point about the undergrad programs being pretty bogus, and the goals of colleges are certainly questionable.  Unfortunately to get to something that's worthwhile you have to bow down to the system.

Welcome to the bureaucracy, pal.  And it's not unique to America, so get over it.

  13. You could be right, or you could be wrong; it doesn't matter. The fact is that we live in a credential-based society, where that "worthless" BA degree is a young person's only ticket to success (other than trade apprenticeships).
