Question:

The battery in my 01 dodge neon.

The battery was changed in my neon today and after the battery was changed my radio doesnt work, it plays but then shuts off for a second and comes back on. What could be the problem?? and can it do any harm?? will it be ok to drive it??

  1. there's no reason for it to be doing that really you might want to try disconnecting the battery again and leaving the cable off for a while then hook it back up,the only thing i can think of is it has something to do with the new voltage its receiving from the new battery even the amount of voltage that the radio uses is monitored on those and other cars,that's still no reason for it to shut down like that,you might want to give it time to reset everything and see if that helps,good luck.


  2. It sounds like you have a loose wire on your battery terminal.  Maybe when they hooked your battery up, they didn't get a certain wire or cable on the terminal very well and it is shorting out.  I would wiggle the cables and see if any are loose.
