I'm new to the United States (from Australia), what are some of the best quality cell phone service providers, with the best value prices for individual, average phone users?

I'd be happy to give anyone information on Australian mobile phone service providers.

  1. totally verizon. At&t has horrible coverage all around the US. It drops calls all the time. Go with Verizon because they are good and if you want a touch phone they have like 6 of them

  2. I'm not certain the best, but I can tell you to steer clear of Verizon and Alltel. My husband has been using T-Mobile for years (we just got married in May, but we've known eachother for years) and swears by them. He's never had any problems with their customer service and their plans seem very reasonable as compared to others. Verizon is known for their terrible customer service and since they just bought out Alltel, it stands to reason that Alltel's going to go down the drain. Customer service is more important to me than the cost of a plan. Alltel was great for me until Verizon bought them out. Now I'm just waiting for my contract to end and then I'm switching to my husband's plan with T-mobile. I don't know much about AT & T. My son just told me that he's going with them. The only reason that Verizon would be good for someone is if you NEVER HAVE AN ISSUE. Once you have an issue, they are the rudest people to deal with. I have no use for rudeness. I'd pay higher to not deal with rude.

  3. the best cell phone provider that i found is verizon wireless! although if your on a monthly plan you can not roll over minutes. but the reception is great were i am each plan is different depending on the one you choose. they have really cool phones too!

  4. VERIZON WIRELESS!!! it has the best connection so you can talk to like ANYONE over the world-- (i think) and it has such good connection! go to verizonwireless.com and look at all there stuff!!!!! whatever you do... dont get t-mobile or virgin mobile--- it's hard to contact with others because most people dont have that. everyone i know has verizon--- and verizon has GREAT PLANS!!!!!!!!!!! go on there web and look!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. i agree AT&T

AT&T used to be two seprate companys. Cingular and AT&T now they made phones better.

  6. At&T

  7. Verizon really has the best coverage. I am an ATT customer now, but will be switching back soon. I hate the dropped calls on ATT and Tmobile!

  8. Verizon!

  9. at&t

    or verizon.

    answer mine?

  10. at&t by far. They have the best coverage, plans, phones, and reasonable prices. Also everyone has it so its mobile to mobile =)

  11. either ATT or Verizon.   both have 1 of the largest coverage (probably in the entire world, as far as "area" is concerned)

Verizon tend to give lesser drop calls (because of the CDMA technology used, CDMA can utilize more than 2 cell tower simultaneously on a call but GSM can't)

But ATT have slightely more cell towers than Verizon. (after they merger with Cingular)

Sprint use to have coolest phone (back in the 1997-2000) but with ATT's Iphone and Verizon's dare.....  all carriers offer some sort of "cool" phone now so PHONE SHOULD NEVER BE YOUR FIRST CONSIDERATION when selecting your carrier.

To select the carrier best for you, you should look at the AREA you will be using the phone the most.  For example.  Even thought ATT and Verizon both have one of the largest coverage.  My friend at Microsoft compus in Redmond, WA can never get a signal from either one of those carrier.   Only T-mobile stands out (What a surprise! and I thought T-mobile sucks)

  12. DEFINETLY VERIZON  its the best best best one 100%

im going to get one here are some stuff good about it

1.great plans saves lots of money

    2.amazing connection

    3.cool phones

here are the bad things about all the others

    1.tmobile has reallly bad connection

    2. sprint has sucky phones

3.motoraloa has really plain and simple phones

    4.at&t also has bad connection

and those are all the companies  i know of!!!!

  13. US Cellular gets the best reception AT&T does not get very good reception

  14. ALLTELL is the best service providers. Thats wwhat i think:)

  15. Alltell defantly...i've been with them for about a year and they have excellent service and reception everywhere....its Americas leading phone service...its cheaper than most other carriers in some ways

but it also depends where you live...

    hope this helps   = )

  16. I'm in the same situation you are... but I find the answer!

not just looking and comparing rates & plans from the different companies but for this amazing guide than somebody took the time to write:

    http://reviews.ebay.com/The-Best-Cell-Ph...

I know you will find it extremely helpful!

    So I will choose AT&T

  17. I'm with verizon and have been for 4 years I have been very happy with the service I get.

  18. I used to test cell phones and plans.  If you are going for best coverage, Verizon is your choice.  But they are pricey.  I liked AT&T for price, but the coverage wasn't as good.  Nextel was horrible for coverage and dropped calls.

Alltel and T-Mobile are popular, although I haven't tested them.  I know that their coverage is a little better, and price might not be as high as Verizon.

  19. I think its Verizon. it has awesome phones and the quality is great

  21. I pretty much love verizon wireless. i rarely ever lose service and about 90% of my college campus has verizon so every1 you call/text is free because of the in-network.

just do research with each company and see which one works best with how often you would use your cellphone

  22. if you want looks it's like verizon or at&t but for alright looking phones sometimes really good looking and with best plans and most bars and service anywhere then thats t-mobile! i have t-mobile...
