I think the best   is  PADLEY  , there is also a nice  woman called Rosaria, with nice chinese eyes, it is very cheap and  very clean!!

I advice to go, specially in the weekend!!

hakkasan for sure! its awesome, the restaurant is cool, the food is amazing, the service is great.  only thing that can put you off is the wine list - which is like a novel! went here my last two birthdays and had a wonderful night.

I would say it is Hakkasan. It even has a Michelin Star.

undoubtedly hakkasan for poshness, or bar shu for sichuan dishes, good ratings overall if cost is not a problem.

Not sure about elegance but there is a huge place in China Town like 5 floors or something.. The food is awesome.

Wong Kei or soemthing like that sorry not been london for years..

The best that Ive had is The Floating Lotus at Docklands, service and food gorgeous and setting reall different (being on a big boat!) That was about 4/5 years ago :) xx

China Tang at The Dorchester Hotel wins hands down. Kate Moss frequents there and started her birthday celebrations there this year, it's very elegant whilst remaining authentic, and the food is delicious, all very pricey! Very strong cocktails, good wine list.
