  1. Sauble Beach, definitely!

Since it is the middle of the summer, most cottages at popular beach areas will likely be all booked up. Your best bet would probably be cheaper hotels or campsites.

Sauble Beach is located about a 15 minute drive from Owen Sound, which has more hotel accomadations. Sauble Beach has little beach shops and craft/knick knack stores to shop at. There is mini golfing, an amusement park (not very big, but there are a few rides) and of course, the beautiful beach!

Having to stay in Owen Sound isn't entirely bad, it will give you the chance to explore other places than just the beach. There is Story Book Park (a young children's amusement park) Inglis Falls, Harrison Park, etc.

  2. Wasaga Beach

  3. umm ... i just came back from the cottage in ontario i went to lake erie it is really nice ! the beach is pretty good

  4. Wasaga Beach is the place for you. The sand extends almost a mile into the water. Lots of small cottages for rent, as well as hotels. Check the link for details.

  5. i live in southampton ontario. anywhere around here, its lake huron, the cleaniest lake. were an hour from tobermory which is gorgeous but lake is really cold up there. sauble beach is fun too!
