  8. The only cities I think are worth visiting are Cork, Galway and Kilkenny. The best of Ireland are the countryside, the small villages and the coast. If you don't have much time to travel around I suggest you visit places not far from Dublin - see on www.discoverireland.ie what's to do in County Dublin, Louth, Kildare, Meath... and see what you like!

  9. When I was in Ireland we drove from Dublin to Galway and stopped at towns and cities along the way. You will see towns that are very old looking and very new. There are ancient ruins and beautiful old churches. You get to see the Irish countryside. We stopped at all kinds of coffee shops (privately owned ones) and that really gave us the true Irish experience. Galway is beautiful, especially on a sunny day. The architecture is quite tranquil. They have Medieval-style wooden pubs with a surprising amount of variety on the menu. Great shopping in Galway, and great parks.

My next favorite part of Ireland was Kilkenny, see it if you can.
