The best fly-half in the world??

Who do you think is the best fly-half:

Andre' Pretorius or Dan Carter???

When Dan Carter is in Form, no one comes close in my opinion. His option taking, kicking and running game is superb. His defence is solid for a number 10 and his distribution is good too.

This is based on when he is in form, he is however seemingly going through a little slump at the moment. Hopefully this picks up and he is on fire for the RWC

Dan Carters over-rated and is a glory seaker.

James Hook is nothing special, just done well at the right time, watch him fall now.

Dan Cipriani i have played with many times, shows a lot of ability to be the best in a fair few years.

Larckham is persistantly excellent.

O'Gara is up there, but his cockyness lets him down.

Barkley is just plain and simply Barkley - class.

Ryan Lamb is making his way up.

My pick would be Dan Carter for all the reasons mentioned by ZKSUJ. When in top form he would definitely be a better all-rounder than Pretorius.

I noticed that no-one mentioned Nick Evans. For those who don't know he is DC's understudy in the AB's and should be ranked right up there with the others that were mentioned. He's a more dangerous attacker than Jenkins, as good a decision maker as Pretorius, and only lacks for the top international experience of a Larkham. He can kick too. Watch for him in the future. (No, we are not related).

Dan Carter at the moment, but Pretorius has a better kicking game.  Pretorius is also a better defender.  Carter shades him for the way he moves the play around the field.  Carter has a better running and passing game.

I eagerly await he development of Berrick Barnes and Kurtley Beale.  Young guys with a great future
