  1. honestly, i dont know, i've had all my horses their whole lives. i could never get myself to sell them to anyone else.  I know I would feel sad for quite sometime but after a little bit I would also get a new horse or keep myself busy with riding, etc, having fun. it really helps to keep in touch with the new owner (from what I 've seen my friends go through) The lady that I bought my gelding from was devestated, but her husband made her sell him. I let her come a visit and ride whenever she needs to.

  2. Yeah, you feel sad for awhile..thinking that there will never be another one like him.  But in time this will pass.  Things happen in life that we don't always like.

Don't dwell on it...think about finding your next partner and the challenges and experience that you will gain with the next.  I know you think you'll never get over it but you will.

Just cherish your memories...perhaps you can keep in touch with the new owners and visit on occasion if possible.

So, move on and get off the "pitty-pot" and open your heart to the next one unless your going to take up another sport.  Horses are not like a pet dog or cat..your needs may change as you progress and unless you can keep them after that, we usually end up with a new horse, making new memories.

If you wanted him so bad and were unable to purchase to make him yours and you are not in a position to own a horse..try not to get so attached because it could happen again with the next one too.

I'm sure you'll feel better soon.

  3. you can't change anything about it! talk to a coucilor  if u need to.

  4. well the horse is gone. tough bananas! buh all you can do now is get back up and get a new one

  5. Your alowed to be sad when things like this happen, but in time you'll feel beter and move on =)

  6. I would buy azteca HORSE.

  7. ul never find that horse again! but you can move on with another, and try to make it better than your last!

  8. well, i can only speak for me, when we decided to sell my first pony, it felt bad and i did miss her, but she went to a younger friend of mine who also used her for a program with kids with disablities. . . it made me feel better that she was helping other kids and teach them the way she taught me. i try to look at the postive, when one door closes another opens, even tho it does take some time to find the postive.
