Can anybody stop Rossi this year?

After that race just now, I'd say no.

People used to say to win Mugello, you just need top speed. Rossi was only the 6th fastest top speed, so that rules that out!

I regret being on road and not having the oppurtunity to watch it LIVE.Anyway I watched it this morning and though I knew who the winnre is and who fell and so on and I still got the thrill.Rossi was INCREDIBILE.He did it an a master way,well after all he isn't called the Doctor for nothing :-))))

Rossi IS Moto GP, pure and simple, how that daft helmet did'nt slow him down, I don't know.......

Shocked that Stoner beat Pedrosa, fair play.

Tempted to give De Angleis the " rider of the day award" though, great effort.

I was just going to post this question... You were again faster :P

The best race (for the MotoGP class). Amazing really. Forget about speed, it's something more. The Ducati was flying and still they are NOT number one.

I feel bad for Lorenzo, it would have been cool to have 4 yamahas in top 6 but 3 is enough.

Amazing, seriously... I'm speechless! And the only thing that was in my head was "Oh, I want to be there, I want to be there!!"

The best race of the year, I envy the people who watched it live!

forget to mention poor Smith... in one moment he was first and in the second he finished 5th. But after an injury like his, I say he did a pretty good job too!

Anyways the man is at his peak now and I want him to go on to win the World Championship to prove once again that he is a true legend!!

I thought Dani was good but Casey was on his game today and I love the competition in that trio.It all makes for great watching. Couldn't even finish my breakfast..

Anyways people another great day of MotoGp(Italians ruled!) and a fantastic one for my hero of d track, Valentino Rossi!

Sorry Wiggysan I'm going to rain on your parade (Slightly)

Mugello is NOT a quick "top speed" track. (as well you know).

its a stop go track. which the Yamaha excels at.

If I was in the competition right now I would be worried about Rossi and all the other Yamaha riders.

But the Honda is Quick. (Just doesn't stop)

I am still convinced stoner can go quicker, the fuel limit wont allow him to. as you point out the Yamaha is nowhere near the fastest bike out there.

There was a good quote on eurosport - its not the fastest, but it gets to its top speed the quickest.  (heavy thinking) 50meter gain ???

I think when seeing Stoner go as slow as possible  on the sighting lap. he is conserving fuel. when that stops being an issue (and it will) when Pedrossa can slow down without rear ending another rider.(and he will) when Edwards stops chewing rear tyres(and he will) When the Rain falls down (and it will) we will have a season we will tell each other and our relatives about, for years to come.

The last time i felt this way was when Rainey, Doohan and Schwantz were playing with Gardner, Roberts and Spencer.

Maybe not all together at once. but you get the picture.

I really cant remember when a season had me so fired up.

He's definitely on a roll. He'll be hard to beat if he can continue riding like he has. But all it takes is one little push too far into a corner when you're riding on the edge like that.

They sure are fun to watch when it gets that intense.
