-Mediterranean: La Mediterranee on Fillmore street as you go up the hill its on the left, very small and easy to miss. try google maps for more details on location.



those 2 were my faves, loooove betelnut (ate there twice!!!) and loved the mediterranean place but we found it on our last day there...so sad.....

My favorite place is the Cafe  Lombard. It is on Lombard and TOTALLY CRACKED ME UP! I thought that it sounded like, well, you know, home style diner type CAFE food. Well we go in, and it is oriental run. I think COOL! Some sort of Oriental restraunt! ANd guess what? It was the best Italian food I had eaten in a long time. I had Carbonara. I tell you, it was not expenseive and I had a great meal. They serve no alcohol so you can't have wine or beer, but it was worth it!

dine @ Wipe Out. they have great food @ a great price, its on pier 39. they have a wide varity from burgers to taco salda. plus a bar

For Chinese, better than any place, in or out of Chinatown, is Kirin Restaurant on Geary between 25/26th Ave.  Great food, great service, S****y parking..........but can't have everything!  Try their Chinese chicken salad and salty/spicy wings, just about any rice plate and for banquet dinners, get anything with the melon soup cooked "in the melon"!  Can't go wrong here with just about everything on their menu!
