  1. I used the Princeton Review to prepare for the AP Euro, APUSH, and AP English Language/Composition exams and got 5's on all of them. The Princeton Review is is really good for AP preparation because it has pretty much all the information that you will need to know for the exam...it doesn't really include useless information that won't appear on the exam.

I used Five Steps to a Five (by McGraw Hill) to prepare for the AP Spanish exam (because the Princeton Review edition was out yet), and in my opinion it wasn't as good as the Princeton Review is. I got a 4 on that exam, which is pretty good, too...but I know that Princeton Review has better preparation material overall.

  2. For AP Bio, barron's is definetly the best. Everyone I know uses Barron's including me, and during AP test days I saw a ton of green prep books!

I recommend Barron's for a majority of your tests, but also check out Princeton Review. They're both great companies, and it's your personal preference. Some test books lay out the facts for you to memorize, some giver a sense of humor while getting you to learn. Go to your local bookstore and sit down with both, and see which one you like the best.

  3. I have taken US history and Eng. Lang., and I will be taking Bio and Stat. I have done some research on review books, and this is what I have gotten:

bio: most people say Cliffnotes, some also think Barron's is good

    stat: Barron's

US History: I liked Kaplan and Princeton Review, but I have heard that a review book called AMSCO is great. I personally have never seen that one.

Eng. Lang: This one really depends on if you are a good reader and writer in the first place. But I heard Cliffs is great.

  4. I used Kaplan for APUSH and got a 5 on the test. I just read through that because I took so many notes that were crammed onto my notebook pages, and I figured out that I took many unnecessary notes. I highlighted important points and it helped!
