Question:

The best "old-person" places to eat?

I'm taking a girl out to eat on a date. For an inside joke, I want to bring her somewhere that is dominated by elders. I still want the food to be good though. A Convalescent home won't work, because we wouldn't be allowed in. I'm thinking even some kind of luncheon, but not where an actual membership would be required. Any ideas? I'm in SE Michigan.

  1. Do you have Steak & Ale?  By me thats where old folks go to eat and die.

  2. IHOP

  3. Finding a place that is DOMINATED by elders could be sort of hard.  I would say:

Perkins, Ruby Tuesday, Old Town Buffet...

A good strategy would be to look in coupon books they put out in front of other restaurants and grocery stores.  Limit your selection to the best coupons in there.

    Old folks love their coupons.

  4. Check into your local Senior Citizens Center.  Some of them have cafeterias and ARE open to the public.

Otherwise, try Hometown Buffet or Golden Corral if they are in your area.

  5. Fur's cafeteria

    Perkins

That's all I can think of right now.  I don't even know if they have them in Michigan, but there should be some kind of cafeteria chain there.

    Good luck.  Sounds funny.

  6. Denny's, Fat Grandpa's All You Can Eat Trough, Old Country Buffet, Cattle Slaughter
